1. Function as behavioral medicine social worker. Provide direct casework including individual, family/group counseling and discharge planning. Ensure continuity of care from time of admission until discharge; follow-up when appropriate.

2. Assess and resolve complex social, economic and psychosocial problems that may impact on service members' and their families' medical treatment by providing direct casework services, to include assessment, referral, consultation and education.

3. Conduct psychological evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling to individuals, groups and families as needed to facilitate discharge planning and case management.

1. Masters or Doctorate Degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Accredited School. 

2. A minimum of two years post-masters social work experience, current within the last 3 years, preferably in delivering discharge planning and case management services. 

3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS certification.
